Anne Cahill has over 30 years of experience in the cultural sector, following a career in banking at BNP. She has worked in national, state and local government bodies and in arts organisations, most recently as Director of Development at Musica Viva, and currently runs consultancy ArtsLeadershipConnect. Anne enjoys forging innovative and enduring partnerships across the business community, government, trusts, foundations and with individual supporters. She is passionate about the importance of creativity and the role of a vibrant, impactful arts sector for all ages and in all communities across Australia.

Anne has been associated with the Sisters of Charity of Australia for over 10 years and, together with husband Robert, was an early supporter of the Tertiary Scholarship Program. She has over 20 years’ experience on not-for-profit Boards, and is currently a Director of Orange Music Foundation Ltd. 

An active community musician, Anne has played violin in the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra since 1985 and held the roles of President or Vice President for over 25 years. As a musician, she enjoys exploring the vast realm of chamber music.

In 2003 Anne was awarded an OAM for Services to the Arts. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds a BA (UniSyd) and AMusA (piano).
