Sr Margaret Valentine was educated in Sydney by the Sisters of Charity. After one year in the work force Sr Margaret entered the Sisters of Charity Novitiate at Wahroonga.  She gained her Diploma of Teaching at the Catholic Teachers College North Sydney, later gaining a Bachelor of Education from the Catholic University Sydney.

Sr Margaret taught in Primary Education Schools (Kindergarten to Year 6) in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania and Canberra. She also was the Principal in a Sydney and Canberra school.

After completing a two year part time Counselling Course with the Sydney Catholic Counselling Institute and three full time Clinical Pastoral Education Units at St Vincent’s Sydney Sr Margaret moved into the role of Pastoral Care within Primary Schools in Sydney.

For the past nine years Sr Margaret has been Parish Pastoral Coordinator of the Myall Coast Parish in the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese.  In this role she was responsible for the day to day running of the Parish (consisting of three Mass Centres) and the Pastoral Care of the Community.

Presently Sr Margaret, living at Liverpool, is ministering part time as a Parent/School Liaison Worker in a Kindergarten to Year 12 School at All Saint’s Catholic College Liverpool, as well as supporting elderly Sisters in our Congregation.
